Production Manager 

 

Summary:

Drive efficient plant operations using Lean principles to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and ensure quality standards. Oversee scheduling, inventory, and workforce development while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Reports to Plant Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Enforce safety standards and proper PPE usage.

Plan and coordinate production schedules and tooling changeovers using Lean methods.

Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines.

Ensure product quality meets manufacturing specifications and implement root cause analysis for defects.

Apply Kaizen and 5S principles to improve processes and maintain housekeeping standards.

Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Hire, train, and develop team members; promote a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.

Familiarity with production equipment and inventory control systems.

Computer proficiency and understanding of BOM systems.

High School diploma required; technical or college degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, handle materials, and operate equipment in varying temperature conditions.
