POSITION: Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Medical Device Start-Up
LOCATION: Atlanta
A dynamic medical device start-up in the Atlanta area is recruiting a Sales Development Representative (SDR).
The company is looking for an ambitious, early-career SDR to join their growing commercial team.
Experience in medical device sales — particularly in the pain management field with companies like Stryker, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, or similar — is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.
This is an opportunity to develop new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying prospective customers and introducing them to a category-defining technology.
You will work primarily at the top of the sales funnel, engaging physicians, clinics, healthcare systems, and other potential customers through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, and other prospecting activities.
Responsibilities / Tasks:
· Identify and research prospective physicians, clinics, healthcare systems, and other potential customers.
· Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
· Initiate conversations with prospective customers and create interest in the company's technology.
· Qualify prospects based on need, application, interest, timing, and potential fit.
· Schedule qualified meetings, demonstrations, or discovery calls for the appropriate sales representative.
· Maintain accurate prospect and activity information in the CRM.
· Follow up consistently with prospects who are not yet ready to engage.
· Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team.
· Meet or exceed agreed-upon activity, qualified-meeting, and pipeline-generation goals.
Qualifications:
· Prior experience in medical device sales, clinical sales support, or a related commercial role in healthcare/med-tech (not required but PLUS)
· Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with healthcare professionals, clinical staff, and physicians.
· Comfortable making outbound calls, sending emails, and conducting consistent prospecting activity.
· A self-starter mentality — able to organize your daily activities, manage prospects, and prioritize with minimal oversight.
· Strong listening and qualification skills — able to identify customer needs, interest, timing, and potential fit.
· Genuine enthusiasm for sales and motivation to achieve activity and qualified-meeting goals.
· Coachable and willing to learn a complex medical technology and understand its application in the pain management field.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
· Willingness to travel occasionally for training, company meetings, conferences, or other sales-related activities.
