Structural Engineer
Location: Omaha, NE
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid
Position Overview
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Omaha. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technically challenging projects, collaborative design work, and seeing projects from concept through completion.
The Structural Engineer will work primarily on industrial and medium-to-large commercial projects, partnering closely with engineers, designers, architects, contractors, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for commercial and industrial projects
- Design structural steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems
- Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents
- Review drawings and coordinate with structural designers and other disciplines
- Assist with field investigations, existing-condition assessments, and site visits
- Provide technical support during construction
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and engineering standards
- Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, architects, and project teams
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with commercial and/or industrial structures preferred
- Proficiency with structural analysis/design software
- Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and building codes
- PE license required
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
