An established, highly regarded healthcare system in Northwest Indiana is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Orthopedic Surgeon to join its growing, physician-led group practice in Hobart, Indiana.
Located in the Greater Chicagoland area, this position offers the ideal combination of a busy surgical practice, high-tech hospital infrastructure, and exceptional work-life balance. Practice in a HIMSS Stage VII environment featuring full EPIC EHR integration with modern AI functionality. You will collaborate with a collegial team of physicians and clinical support staff in a financially strong health system eager to support you in building a thriving surgical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general orthopedic surgical care, including joint replacements, fracture care, arthroscopy, and musculoskeletal trauma management.
- Conduct outpatient clinic evaluations and perform elective and emergent surgical procedures.
- Participate in a shared, equitable orthopedic call rotation.
- Utilize cutting-edge surgical technologies and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including primary care providers, physical therapists, pain management specialists, and hospitalists.
- Help advance surgical quality protocols while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
- Completed an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or eligible for state licensure within 90–120 days).
- Strong clinical and surgical competency across general orthopedic care with a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.
