An established, highly regarded healthcare system in Northwest Indiana is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to join its growing, physician-led group practice.
Located in the Greater Chicagoland area just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, this position offers the ideal combination of a high-volume surgical practice, state-of-the-art hospital infrastructure, and exceptional professional backing. Practice in a HIMSS Stage VII environment featuring full EPIC EHR integration with modern AI functionality. You will collaborate with a collegial team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, orthopedists, and dedicated surgical support staff in a financially robust health system eager to support your subspecialty focus and long-term practice goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cranial and complex/general spine neurosurgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical suite environments.
- Conduct clinical evaluations, patient workups, and perform elective and emergent neurosurgical procedures.
- Participate in an equitable, shared neurosurgery call rotation.
- Utilize advanced surgical technology, intraoperative imaging, and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management specialists, and critical care teams.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and optimal patient care pathways.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
- Successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Neurological Surgery residency program; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery.
- Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or eligible for state licensure within 90–120 days).
- Demonstrates high clinical and surgical competency in general neurosurgery and/or subspecialty fellowship areas (e.g., spine, vascular, skull base, neuro-oncology).
