Field Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent - Border Wall

Position: Field Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent
Salary Range: $105-$135K
Location: Laredo, TX area
Project: Border Wall Construction

Our construction client has been awarded a multi-year contract to continue the construction of the U.S. Border Wall in the Carrizo Springs, TX area (South of Laredo, TX / pop: 260,000). The project is estimated to be 2 years / 60+ miles of Border, boat ramp construction, patrol road repair, patrol road construction, bridge construction, electrical / lighting / ground detection system installation. = $1B project

Candidates will travel to and live around the Laredo, TX area.

The Field Superintendent position are supplemental project positions and are not specifically defined as key personnel in the contract, so the experience requirements can be somewhat less restrictive.

Field Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent

• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible construction field supervision experience
• Prefer at least 3–5 years of heavy-civil or linear infrastructure experience
• Experience supervising multiple crews and subcontractors
• Strong background in earthwork, roadway construction, drainage, concrete, structures, utilities, and heavy-equipment operations preferred
• Must be capable of reading plans and specifications and coordinating daily production, sequencing, safety, and quality requirements
• Federal and design-build experience preferred but not required

 

For the Field Superintendent position, the client is more interested in strong, relevant heavy-civil field experience and the ability to work effectively on a large, geographically dispersed linear construction project.
