Human Resources and Payroll Manager – Hospice / Home Health
We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Human Resources and Payroll Manager for a growing multi-site healthcare provider. This is a hands-on HR leadership role supporting compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, and confidential employee records across home health, home care and hospice operations.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience with compliance, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and employment law.
• Experience supporting multi-site settings within home health, home care and/or hospice.
• Proficiency with ADP and Microsoft Office.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities
This role supports the full HR function across multiple healthcare locations. Key responsibility areas include:
• Compliance: Supporting adherence to federal, state and local employment laws and healthcare program requirements, including HR-related regulatory standards and employment practices.
• Risk: Maintaining audit readiness through employee-file reviews, credentialing support, background checks, exclusion/sanction screening and documentation controls.
• HR Policies: Maintaining and supporting HR policies and helping ensure policies align with regulatory requirements and operational needs.
• Employee Relations / Support: Guiding managers and employees through employee relations matters, coaching, workplace concerns, investigations and conflict resolution.
• Payroll / Rewards / Compensation and Benefits: Leading full-cycle payroll, timekeeping, wage calculations, audits, benefit administration, invoice reconciliation, leave/COBRA/ACA support and compensation-related reporting.
• HR Systems: Maintaining and optimizing HRIS/payroll systems, including ADP, and coordinating HR data as needed with healthcare operating platforms and leadership reporting.
• Confidential Records: Maintaining secure employee records and handling sensitive employee, compliance, payroll and benefits information with discretion.
• Recruitment / Retention: Supporting workforce planning, recruiting strategies, job posting, onboarding, credential verification, hiring compliance, time-to-fill improvement and early new-hire retention.
