Electrical Engineer – Building Systems

Location: Alpharetta, GA

We are working with an established Architecture & Engineering firm in the Alpharetta area that is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to its team. This position will focus on electrical design for a variety of building projects, including K-12 schools, retail, mixed-use developments, and other commercial facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing building electrical systems and enjoy working alongside architects and engineers from multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, equipment selection, and building code research.
• Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and construction bid documents.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Manage design responsibilities across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Participate in occasional project-related travel, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably involving building systems.
• Experience with electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Revit experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
